I like starting arguments... about food. Once a suburbanite, now a Chicagoan, I enjoy exploring the best foods Chicago has to offer. While I grew up on three-ingredient and innovative, what's-in-the-pantry kind of meals, my palate today is a bit more mature thanks to my fiancee who loves cooking for me (and, trust me, I love it when he does). I'm also willing to try every food once (except mushrooms other than morels). I've dabbled in food writing and food reviews for years, but it wasn't until I became the Chicago Hot Dog Examiner in June 2009 that I realized how much fun it is to argue over which foods define what good Chicago eating is. Don't agree with me? I want to know.
